TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
